    I think that this a very good edit! I like the fading transitions because they separate clips nicely without being too distracting. Also, as an editor, I feel that this is edited just tightly enough for the style of filming you're going for. Well done dude!

  2. Nice. A few notes:

    1) I don't think the fades are necessary. Stick to straight cuts. It's a narrative, not a trailer.

    2) Try a new cut with a different structure. Start the magician's interview after the first cop's interview, then begin the car sequence. This may flow better. It may not, but I think you have some wiggle room as far as how to structure your narrative.

    3) I like what you've done with the interview sound bite carrying over the car arrest toward the end. Can you do more of this sound overlap throughout the entire piece? I think this will help it flow better, and tighter (could be 20-30 secs shorter)

    4) The audio is pretty good, but there's one bite where we hear kids playing in the background. Do you have another take of this? If not you may want to ADR.
