Cool… Can you post the original scene as well? Please add the dialogue at some point via ADR (either with the mic in the edit suite or in the studio - I can help if you need it). I also think this scene will benefit from background ambience (music, bar noise, etc.).
ReplyDeleteI think your footage looks great. I hope everyone can see how well the backlight is enhancing the images.
Also, I would trim the 2nd to last wide shot. The tail of that shot seems to linger, and I think the camera jerks a bit.
Watching it without watching the original: I felt a little disoriented in the beginning, I didn't know where everyone was sitting. If you are able to I would fade in with some sort of establishing shot that includes all six it would fix it. Anything from the end might work, or it may just be fine once you add sound. Obviously this is not anything that was done wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe color looks really good. The only minor thing I see is that, a couple of the beginning shots have a lot of headroom, but the shot of Mary and Franco is exceptional.
